Job Description

To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Reside in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
• Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post‑secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.

• Collaborate with project teams to develop and optimize construction methods and sequences.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
• Design temporary works including:
  Formwork and falsework, Hoisting and jacking systems, Excavation and shoring systems, Lifting/rigging devices, Temporary bridges, pile templates, cofferdams, and access systems
• Prepare or work with technicians to prepare models and drawings for M&TW.
• Prepare engineering calculations and documentation.
• Support construction teams with technical guidance, field reviews, and certificates of conformity.

• Enrollment in an Engineering program.
• Willingness to work in‑office and conduct site visits.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
• Curious, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn on‑site.
• Passionate about construction and making an impact

The expected compensation range posted for this role applies to available work locations in Ontario and/or British Columbia. Offered compensation may vary from the posted range based on a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and the final job for which they are hired.
