During your internship withour
Estimation team, you willtakepartor leadtasks assigned to an Estimator. The Estimator reports to the Chief Estimator and prepares estimatesforpublic,parapublic or private projects when EBC submitsa call for tenders orbid. The Estimator alsoactivelyparticipatesinpreparingthe proposal to besubmittedto the client.

Responsibilities- Consult plans and specifications upon document rece ption.
- Coordinate tasks with the Estimation Director and Project Director .
- Discuss applicable work methods, works to be subcontracted, and call for tenders risks and constraints .
- Coordinate quantities estimate d with assigned technician/ modeler.
- Establish work schedule s .
- Prepare and send to equipment and personnel managers a preliminary report detailing equipment or manpower needs and applicable rates .
- Determine if jobsite expertise is required .
- Participate in mandatory visit s and/or client meeting s for relevant information .
- Research subcontractor and supplier rates.
- Establish bid costs and special conditions.
- Send bid calculations to Estimation Director.
- Prepare submission reviews.
- Establish lasting professional relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, etc.
- Perform any other related tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and construction engineering; in progress.
- Relevant experience in engineering or construction, an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
- Adaptability and fast learner.
- Great adaptability skills .
- Quick learner.
- Good t eamwork skills .
