Take charge of safety operations with Aecon as a dedicated Safety Advisor in Sicamous, BC. Drive a culture of safety through comprehensive training and inspections.

Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will be instrumental in promoting health, safety, and environmental protocols at construction sites.

Your role includes coordinating essential safety training and ensuring regulatory compliance through thorough audits and inspections. Join our dynamic team to contribute to significant community infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver site-specific safety orientations to workers and stakeholders

• Train team members on safety protocols and emergency responses

• Oversee workplace inspections and behavioral observations

• Develop emergency response and safety plans

• Collaborate with safety committees for best practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years in a health and safety capacity

• WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Attendant Level 3 required

• Certification as National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work flexible hours
