Work Status: Temporary Contract (12 months)

730 CKNW has an exciting opportunity for a Creative Audio Producer! Working with the Program Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for writing, producing, and managing station imaging. This position also requires commercial production, and the production of Sales, Promotional, and Programming elements as needed.

• Having a deep understanding of the 730 CKNW brand; its shows, hosts, and audience.
• Bringing fresh ideas and sound to the creative process.
• Helping with the scheduling, managing, and mentoring of Technical Producers.
• Assisting the Production Department with features and production elements.
• Supporting daily station operations (Logtools, Wideorbit)
• Performing other duties as required.

• Post‑secondary education in Journalism, Broadcasting, Radio/Television Arts, or equivalent experience preferred.
• A knowledge of Pro Tools, iMediatouch or other automation software, Burli, and other digital editing software.
• Advanced digital audio editing skills and intense attention to detail.
• A passion for the news talk radio format!
• The ability to anticipate and quickly react to on‑air situations and programming.
• A friendly, positive, team player focused attitude.
• The ability to multitask, communicate, stay calm and trouble shoots in high pressure & evolving situations.
