We’re looking for a Copywriter to join our in-house creative team in a maternity leave coverage role. This role will play an important part in ideating and crafting copy, campaigns, and donor journeys that bring our brand voice to life.
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Copywriter is responsible for stewarding the growth of our brand voice. You will partner with multiple teams (both internal and external) to create compelling work that reflects our brand purpose, powerfully resonates with our audiences and unifies the brand experience across all donor-facing touchpoints. Your work will break through the clutter. We’re looking for an idea person: forward-thinking across multiple channels with a passion and craft for words that will move people to act.
Your work will establish a memorable imprint in the mind and experience of our audience.
More specifically, you will:
- Execute writing across a wide range of channels, including but not limited to: web, social, digital ads, print, email, direct and response, out of home, broadcast, video and radio.
- Roll up your sleeves to work on creating ideas big and small by partnering with Foundation partners and team members.
- Steward our brand voice by writing within brand guidelines while helping to expand the brand voice and tailoring your writing to an audience.
- Think strategically and mine insights from every brief.
- Build and own copy decks for internal and external presentations.
- Work with a variety of partners: designers, art directors, marketing specialists, producers and other foundation partners.

In addition to the above qualifications, you will bring:
- 4+ years of experience as a Copywriter at an agency or freelance.
- A book/portfolio of work you would love to show and tell (required).
- A proactive and entrepreneurial sense of urgency and ability to prioritize important work.
- Comfort interacting with medical experts and sensitivity in working with patient families.
- Strong presentation skills that inspire and engage an audience.
- Strong familiarity with industry standard creative software to get your work done, including: MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, but mostly a willingness to learn/adapt to new tools adopted across our teams.

This is a full-time contract opportunity to cover a maternity leave until June 2027.
