Position: VFX Animator Junior Role at ILM

Ideal for individuals with a Bachelor’s in Traditional Animation or two years of relevant professional experience, this role will have you animating shots and contributing to team discussions for visual aesthetics. You will also maintain a high standard of productivity while supporting the animation team with innovative ideas. A strong demo reel is necessary to demonstrate your artistic abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create animations for a series of shots in projects

• Attend dailies and offer feedback to team members

• Deliver creative work that meets established deadlines

• Animate entry-level sequences, including cycles and crowds

• Support the animation team with reference performances

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in VFX, or 2 years in animation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Traditional Animation or equivalent

• Proficiency in traditional animation principles

• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction

• Experience with Maya and willingness to learn Linux
