About the Role
The Branded Video Content Creator is a charismatic storyteller with extensive on-camera experience and a strong background in producing branded video content. This role is responsible for creating engaging vertical videos for platforms such as Tik Tok, Instagram, and You Tube across brands including blogTO, Daily Hive, Curiocity, Dished, CULTR, Offside, and Mobile Syrup. The successful candidate will translate brand messaging into compelling, audience-first stories.

A passion for storytelling and marketing is essential, along with proficiency in video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Cap Cut, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

What You’ll Do

Produce, pitch, shoot, host, and edit original branded video content for CMG's digital brands (blogTO, Daily Hive, Curiocity, Dished, CULTR, Offside, and Mobile Syrup) publishing across brand websites, Tik Tok, Instagram, and You Tube

Generate and pitch client-aligned content ideas, write scripts, and manage pre- and post-production planning, including scheduling shoots and coordinating logistics

Travel on assignment around Vancouver and BC to shoot on-location branded content, including green screen video from concept through final cut

Translate client briefs and brand guidelines into compelling, audience-first stories that perform across platforms

Collaborate with the Branded Video and CMG Labs team through regular check-ins (Google Meet and in-person as needed) to align on pitches, assignments, and revisions

Upload, organize, and maintain footage and finished projects across the video team's hot and cold storage systems

Incorporate client feedback and make revisions efficiently while staying true to brand voice and campaign goals

Operate in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds and strict deadlines, managing multiple client projects simultaneously

What You Have

Proven experience producing and hosting branded/sponsored video content, with a portfolio demonstrating both on-camera presence and production skill

On-camera hosting experience creating content for You Tube, Tik Tok, and Instagram, both on location and in studio

Strong scriptwriting and storytelling ability, with a track record of translating client briefs into audience-first content

Working knowledge of video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Cap Cut; familiarity with the broader Adobe Creative Suite is an asset

Comfort managing end-to-end production, from pitching and scripting through shooting, editing, and final delivery, under tight turnarounds

Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, collaborating effectively across departments to bring ideas to life

Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple client projects at once

Willingness to work unconventional hours, including evenings and weekends, totaling 40 hours per week

Familiarity with Google Suite and basic video/production equipment

Valid driver's license preferred, with willingness to travel around Vancouver and BC for shoots
