Bilingual Media Librarian at CBC

In this permanent role based in Vancouver, you will provide essential library and information services to programming teams. Your tasks will include selecting and archiving regional French-language television content while ensuring compliance with CBC's policies. Strong proficiency in both English and French is a must, given the bilingual nature of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select and archive regional French-language television programming

• Catalogue programs and production materials efficiently

• Provide audiovisual archives or content information on demand

• Assist production personnel in material selection and retrieval

• Digitally manage audiovisual archives and assets

Requirements:

• University degree in information science or equivalent

• Minimum two years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of file-based digital collections and media handling

• Familiarity with CBC/Radio-Canada's French services

• Excellent bilingual communication skills in English and French
