Position: Guest Services Associate - Worldmark The Canadian

Responsibilities
  • Guest Services function of the resort: greet guests, complete registration, issue unit keys, provide resort information and area attractions details and directions. Process all cash and credit card transactions; balance cash receipts; perform bucket checks; post guest charges; complete cashier and other reports; prepare deposits; secure assigned banks; complete check-out procedures; compute bills; verify charges; collect payments; and make changes as required.

    May routinely reserve and confirm guest reservations for individuals and/or groups; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates; make pre-arrival informational calls; confirm and cancel reservations; answer questions about reservations. Provide quotes for room rates as needed.
  • Maintain positive guest, owner and associate relationships: respond to inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction; resolve issues and escalate as needed; make service recovery recommendations; promote teamwork and quality service.
  • Ensure compliance with Operational Compliance, Safety & Security, Resort Operating Procedures, Guest Service Department Operating Procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Cultivate a “Count On Me” Culture: be responsive, respectful, and deliver a great experience.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
  • Travel requirements:
    Travel is not a requirement for this position. If training is required off-site, it will be local and be about half to full day of time.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge and skills:
    Organizational skills; excellent communication; ability to read and comprehend routine instructions; ability to provide high priority to customer service; problem-solving with minimal supervision; ability to read, write and understand English; basic office skills including math and cash handling; professional appearance; positive attitude; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; people-oriented; detail-oriented; PC skills; basic office equipment;
    Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); hotel front office system knowledge is a plus; ability to switch between tasks quickly.
  • Job experience: 1 year of guest services in hospitality/hotel/resort preferred and/or 1 year of customer service in service or retail environment preferred

Compensation

Generally starting at $23.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will be set based on experience, education, skills, training, and work location.
