Serve the community with E-Comm as a full-time Emergency/Non-Emergency Call Taker in Lower Mainland, BC. Help save lives through effective communication and crisis management in emergency situations.
In this essential role, you will represent E-Comm's values by assisting the public during emergencies while working in our active communication centres. You will engage with first responders, create reports, and manage over 1.8 million calls annually. Successful candidates are excellent communicators who remain calm under pressure and thrive on teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls professionally
• Assist police and fire agencies with critical call-taking
• Produce comprehensive reports from initial calls
• Convey necessary details to dispatch teams
• Stay composed in high-pressure interactions
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent educational background
• Proficient in English communication skills
• Ability to type 44 WPM or faster
• Good understanding of the geography of British Columbia
• Must be available for intensive training sessions
