Vancouver Bitcoin is a Canadian, non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange with physical locations in British Columbia and Alberta. We help customers buy and sell Bitcoin and other digital assets through an in-person, service-first experience.
We are also expanding our services through an online platform, alongside our in-person operations.
Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, on-site role for a Teller to support in-store customer transactions and retail operations at our Burrard Street location. This role is focused on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday coverage and is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Compensation: $24/hour
Schedule: Friday 10am–6pm, Saturday 10am–6pm, Sunday 12pm–6pm
The Teller will handle customer service tasks such as assisting clients in buying and selling cryptocurrency, educating them about the process, and ensuring efficient and secure transactions. The role includes fielding inquiries, managing cash, verifying identification, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions while providing a positive customer experience and upholding the company’s commitment to trust and transparency.
Qualifications- Proficient in cash handling, basic mathematics, and financial transaction accuracy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to assist clients in-person and resolve inquiries promptly.
- Attention to detail and the ability to verify identification documents and follow security protocols diligently.
- Knowledge or interest in cryptocurrencies and financial markets is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Previous experience in a teller, cashier, or customer service role is considered an asset.
