Overview

The Coordinator provides operational support to the Leader, Physician Services and Physician Leadership Team within the Long Term Care and Assisted Living (LTCAL) portfolio. The role includes project coordination for assigned projects/initiatives, contract administration support, and liaison with key internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain physicians’ budget by performing detailed analysis on utilization and billing patterns, identifying trends, patterns, and common themes to highlight improvement opportunities, and recommend improvements to the Leader.
  • Lead and coordinate assigned projects/initiatives from inception to completion, reviewing and testing system and application functionalities, monitoring progress, ensuring adherence to requirements and timelines, and providing support to stakeholders.
  • Input and monitor resource allocation for initiatives/projects to ensure efficient utilization within defined objectives, plans, and budgets.
  • Identify opportunities for departmental process or system improvements, gather and assess relevant information, identify trends, and recommend modifications to the Leader.
  • Support the Physician Leadership Team by coordinating and organizing department workflow, processes, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations; resolve day‑to‑day issues; evaluate operating procedures; recommend and implement improvements.
  • Identify contract performance variances and provide recommendations; implement corrective or remedial actions, including changes in contract administration and implementation as directed by the Leader and Contract Management Office.
  • Advise the Leader and Physician Leadership Team on contract options, ensuring due diligence on new or revised contracts by identifying risk issues such as financial appropriateness and external compliance.
  • Establish and maintain a database of the Most Responsible Prescribers (MRPs) across Fraser Health’s funded LTC sites to ensure communication of critical updates and that the MRPs meet specified requirements.
  • Create and review reports, lists, statistics, and other information related to physician compensation, including quarterly, year‑end, and annual income reports to physicians.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related discipline, supplemented with a minimum five (5) years’ recent related experience within a large complex health care organization; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
