Licensed​/Certified Dental Assistant

Overview

Orchard Heights is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Dental Assistant to join our modern dental practice in Creston, BC. The candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as Power Practice is an asset but not required. • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols.
• Assist dentists during various procedures.
• Take dental radiographs.
• Manage patient records efficiently using Power Practice dental software.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during and after visits.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment at all times.
• Opportunity to work in a hospital setting on occasion if desired.

Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of dental procedures and protocols. Mentorship and training can be provided for new graduates or inexperienced candidates. Certification in dental assisting is required and the candidate must be licensed with BCCOHP.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour.

Job Types: Full‑time, Part‑time, Temporary, Permanent.

Expected hours: 30‑40 per week.
