Assist in delivering top-notch dental care to Canadian Armed Forces members as a Dental Technician. This role involves a blend of clinical skills and emergency support.
In this position, you will provide clinical assistance to Dental Officers and support various procedures related to dental health. Tasks range from equipment maintenance, disinfection, to the fabrication of dental models and applying preventive measures. You will primarily work in military clinics but may also serve in mobile environments or during overseas missions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical support for dental procedures and emergencies
• Fabricate and repair dental appliances as needed
• Sterilize and maintain dental equipment with precision
• Develop radiographs and apply topical anesthetics
• Manage administrative dental services for operational support
Requirements:
• Level II Dental Assisting Diploma or equivalent
• At least 900 hours of clinical experience within the past two years
• Registration with the provincial regulatory body
• Completion of Basic Military Qualification training
• Specialized training in Dental Technician Course
