Drowning is unfortunately the leading cause of accidental death for children. Since 1981, British Swim School has been on a mission to stop that. We are a nationwide company with over 200 locations teaching more than 20,000 students every week to help save lives.

You will teach students of all ages in accordance with the British Swim School aquatics program. Even if you are not an expert swim instructor, we can train anyone on how to teach the way we teach.

• You need to be a swimmer with an understanding of all four strokes and an overall appreciation for the water.
• You love working with children and seeing them progress.
• You are upbeat and ready to enjoy having fun at work - having fun is mandatory.
• This is a year-round position and we are looking for longer-term employees; it is not a summer job.
• You can work weekend mornings or afternoons (Saturday or Sunday or both) from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• You can start weekdays at 3:45 p.m.
• You have reliable transportation to any of our area locations.

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Instructors should enjoy working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. Experience with children or in a child-focused job is helpful, but not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you’re not in the pool. These roles involve talking to parents on the phone or by the pool to make everyone feel part of the British Swim School Family and ensure the 'Survival of the Littlest'.
