What You’ll DoA Senior Store Designer is a creative leader and strategic partner, driving the design of high‑profile retail environments across North America. You’ll lead complex projects from concept to construction, translating brand vision into spatial experiences that inspire movement, connection and discovery.
Responsibilities- Own the design journey for flagship and complex retail projects, from early concept through construction.
- Create compelling spatial layouts, storefronts, custom fixtures, and immersive environments that reflect lululemon’s brand and values.
- Partner with internal teams and external consultants to ensure every detail—lighting to millwork—is intentional, buildable and beautiful.
- Develop and deliver design presentations and renderings to senior leadership, landlords, and review boards with clarity and confidence.
- Uphold global design standards while capturing local culture and community in each space.
- Oversee design timelines, drawing packages, and approvals to keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with brand intent.
- Review and ensure DD, CD, IFC set and FF&E shop drawings meet design intent and construction ability.
- Align and energize cross‑functional partners around a shared design vision, mentoring junior designers and elevating creative output.
- Design and manage complex, high‑profile projects from end to end in collaboration with a cross‑functional team.
- Create design concepts and execute to ensure the brand experience is realized.
- Uphold and preserve lululemon’s brand image and global design consistency.
- Review project information, including local codes, permitting guidelines, site surveys and mall/landlord requirements.
- Produce presentations and renderings for approval from senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Deliver schematic design packages, coordinating internal and external partners and ensuring drawings meet quality, accessibility, code and budget requirements.
- Act as point of contact for all design/architectural issues within the project.
- Report weekly milestones to internal leadership and approve all millwork custom fixture shop drawings.
- Inspire and guide team members to produce effective design solutions and communicate a clear brand vision.
- Conduct site visits as necessary – this role spans all design from contract administration through construction.
- Degree in Interior Design or Architecture (NCIDQ and/or LEED a plus).
- 7–10+ years of experience in retail design or architectural environments.
- Proven experience leading and managing high‑profile, multiple phase design projects.
- Expert in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch Up with Enscape, and rendering tools.
- Experience in US/Canada permit process.
- Strong communicator and visual storyteller with excellent presentation skills.

lululemon’s compensation range for this position is $103,500 – $135,900 CAD annually, plus a base pay based on market location. Employees may be eligible for a competitive annual bonus program.
