About the Role
Our client is seeking a full time Intermediate Architect or Designer to join their Vancouver based team. This role focuses on contributing from Design Development through Construction Documents, with involvement during construction phase support as projects move on site. You will play a key role in producing coordinated drawing sets, resolving technical challenges, and working closely with consultants and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate architectural drawings from Design Development through Construction Documents
- Assist with building code reviews, technical detailing, and consultant coordination
- Prepare permit and construction drawing packages for multi family and mixed use projects
- Support construction phase activities including RFIs, shop drawings, and site review coordination
- Collaborate closely with senior team members to ensure design intent and technical quality
- Participate in internal coordination meetings and design reviews
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience within an architectural practice in Canada
- Experience working on multi family residential towers and mixed use projects
- Solid understanding of the BC Building Code and municipal approval processes
- Strong proficiency in Revit
- Clear communicator with a collaborative, team oriented approach
- Registration or eligibility with the AIBC is considered an asset
