About the Role
Our client is seeking a Registered Architect AIBC to join their Vancouver studio, working on large scale multifamily residential, mixed use, and hospitality projects. This role involves leading projects from design development through construction, coordinating internal teams and external consultants, and ensuring high quality, well resolved outcomes. You will play a key role in guiding project teams, mentoring staff, and supporting the successful delivery of multiple projects at varying stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects through design development, construction documentation, and construction phase services
- Provide day to day leadership to project teams, including technologists and intermediate staff
- Collaborate closely with partners to shape design direction, project strategy, and technical decisions
- Oversee and review coordinated drawing sets to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with design intent
- Lead consultant coordination with structural, mechanical, electrical, envelope, and specialty teams
- Manage project deliverables, schedules, and internal coordination efforts
- Participate in client meetings, consultant meetings, and municipal discussions
- Support construction phase activities including shop drawing review, RFIs, site reviews, and contract administration
- Mentor intermediate and junior staff, supporting technical development, confidence, and career growth
Qualifications
- Registered Architect with AIBC
- 8+ years of professional experience in architecture firms
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and guiding teams on highrise multifamily residential, concrete mixed use, and/or hospitality work
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, consultant coordination, and construction phase services
- Proven ability to manage project teams, priorities, and deadlines
- Working proficiency in Revit and BIM based workflows
- Strong knowledge of BCBC, VBBL, and municipal approval processes
- Clear, confident communication skills with experience working directly with clients and consultants
- Collaborative, accountable, and motivated to grow into a long term leadership role within a firm
