Intermediate Designer

The Role

An established design firm is seeking a talented and detail‑oriented Intermediate Interior Designer to join their team on‑site in Vancouver. This position involves leading small to mid‑size projects independently and supporting senior designers on larger‑scale assignments. The successful candidate will bring robust technical skills, a keen design eye, and the ability to manage projects from concept to completion.

This position is fully on‑site Monday to Friday in Railtown, Vancouver.

A company vehicle will be provided during work hours to go to sites as needed.

Base + Billable Hours (Total Range = $60,000 - $75,000)

• Lead and manage interior design projects from concept through completion.
• Support senior designers in design development and execution for larger‑scale projects.
• Develop and present creative, cohesive design proposals to clients.
• Create detailed drawings, plans, and 3D models using design software.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and manage permitting processes as required.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and best practices.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 years in residential interior design.
• Software
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch Up.
• Technical Knowledge:
  Robust understanding of BC building codes and permitting procedures.
• Project Management:
  Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Portfolio:
  Robust portfolio demonstrating a range of interior design work.
• Communication:
  Excellent interpersonal and client‑facing skills.
