* This role is heavy production design focusing on rolling out temporary locations like pop ups and concept stores. Someone must be comfortable with rinse repeat design production for retail stores!
Contract Length: 6 months, potential to extend
Start Date: August 10th
Rate: 45-52/hour
Must Haves- 3–6 years of experience in Store Design, Retail Design, Interior Design, or a related discipline, with a strong portfolio showcasing projects from concept through execution.
- Proven experience designing retail, commercial, or customer-facing environments, with a strong understanding of the customer journey, space planning, and brand expression.
- Portfolio demonstrating store layouts, fixture plans, finish plans, elevations, and high-quality renderings, with examples of completed projects brought to life.
- Experience working within established store design standards, prototypes, and brand guidelines, while adapting concepts across multiple store formats, footprints, and locations.
- Strong understanding of store development and rollout processes, including supporting new stores, renovations, temporary activations, outlet locations, and specialty retail concepts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketch Up, with the ability to create detailed design documentation, floor plans, and presentation-ready visualizations.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to ensure design accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Smartsheet and In Design
Insight Global is looking for a Store Designer for a North American retail leader to support the rollout of store design initiatives across multiple temporary locations. This individual will leverage existing design templates and brand standards to create and adapt store packages for a variety of retail formats, including specialty, outlet, and temporary spaces. The ideal candidate will have experience with AutoCAD and Sketch Up, a background in Interior Design or a related field, and a strong eye for detail.
They will work within established design guidelines, helping ensure projects are delivered accurately, consistently, and on schedule across the retail footprint.
