Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Modular/Custom Furniture Designer in the Pharmaceutical Industry in Vancouver, British Columbia. Our client is seeking an innovative AutoCAD Designer & 3D Specialist to create modular furniture solutions from concept to production. This role combines CAD expertise, 3D modeling, and prototyping to develop scalable, functional, and cost-effective designs in a collaborative environment.

- Design and develop modular furniture systems including desks, shelving, counters, and multi-functional pieces.
- Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, renderings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Utilize 3D printing for rapid prototyping, testing, and custom component development.
- Research design trends, ergonomics, modularity, and workspace functionality.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and manufacturers to refine designs and meet project objectives.
- Recommend materials, finishes, construction methods, and cost-effective solutions.
- Troubleshoot design and production issues, including manufacturing tolerances.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5–8 years of experience in CAD design, 3D modeling, and furniture or product design.
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and experience with Solid Works, Rhino, Fusion 360, or similar software.
- Hands-on experience with 3D printing workflows, prototyping, and model preparation.
- Proven experience designing modular furniture systems from concept to production.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, cost estimation, and design for manufacturability.
- Creative, forward-thinking mindset with the ability to develop innovative design solutions.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and travel occasionally for vendor or production support.
