The University of British Columbia and the Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in Vancouver invite applications for an academic Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, with a Clinical Faculty appointment in the UBC Department of Surgery.
The individual we seek will provide tertiary and quaternary level Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgical care to patients from all regions of British Columbia and the Yukon; demonstrated comfort with managing complex clinical and surgical facial plastic and reconstructive surgery presentations is therefore an asset. The candidate must have successfully completed at least a one-year fellowship approved through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
The Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, University of British Columbia is involved in undergraduate and post-graduate programs and the applicant is expected to play an integral role in both didactic and clinical/surgical teaching, and further the research mandate of the Division.
On-call services will cover Providence Health Care facilities (Mount St. Joseph’s and St. Paul’s Hospitals), and Vancouver General Hospital as well as being available for tertiary/quaternary referral services for the province with a combined frequency of approximately one week in fourteen. Payment is a fee-for-service model through the Medical Services Plan of .

Education, Licensing, & Experience:
Applicants must have certification in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) and be licensed or eligible for license in the Province of British Columbia. The successful applicant shall be appointed to the Department of Surgery at the University of British Columbia as a Clinical Faculty member at a level commensurate with their experience.
