Enhance the quality of care as a full-time Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health at Vancouver General Hospital. This position emphasizes addiction and pain management for diverse patient needs.
As part of the CPAS Consult Service, you will provide patient-centered care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address complex addiction and concurrent psychiatric disorders.
Your role will be instrumental in shaping innovative treatment strategies that are evidence-based while also participating in educational initiatives for both students and fellow professionals. Direct involvement in clinical care is a necessity for this dynamic position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer high-quality psychiatric consultations for dual diagnoses
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide education and mentorship to medical trainees
• Participate actively in research and clinical programs
Requirements:
• Full membership in the College of Physicians of BC
• Completion of an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship
• Valid Methadone license and iOAT certification
• Experience with psychiatric disorders and treatment strategies
• Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration in mental health
