Game Group Mentoring Brothers

Have fun, de-stress, and feel like a kid again with our Group Mentoring program, Game On!

Through fun activity-based play, volunteers provide youth with the knowledge to make informed decisions about a range of healthy lifestyle practices. The program is led by 2-3 mentors to a group of Littles once a season for 8-10 weeks.

Our Group Mentors are:

• Male, trans, and gender diverse individuals who are 18+.
• Reliable, consistent, dedicated, and respectful of others.
• Available to meet once
  weekly for 90-minute sessions on a weekday afternoon between 2:30pm and 4:30pm.

Our Game On! volunteers are asked to enroll in two 8 week terms as it's the best way to experience this fun program.

Our Group Mentees are:

• 10-12 Boys, trans, and gender diverse children and youth in grades 4-7.
• A person with an intellectual disability
• Volunteers wanting to practice English

• Required skills Interpersonal Skills, Teamwork
• Required languages English
• Age(s) Adults (19 - 64), Seniors (65 & up)

• This is an ongoing position.
• Commitment
• Short term

No previous experience working with children required and FREE training is provided!
Sessions are held during weekday afternoons at schools and community centres across Greater Vancouver for 1.5 hours per week over an 8 week period.
