SENIOR PASTOR (Full-time)

Ebenezer Baptist Church is prayerfully searching for a Senior Pastor who is an experienced preacher, teacher, leader and shepherd who is able to minister to the congregational family of Ebenezer Baptist Church in various capacities.

We are affiliated with the North American Baptist conference and are located on the south side of Vancouver, British Columbia. We are a multi-generational, multi-cultural congregation of about 130 – 150 people who are continually being joined by newcomers to the neighborhood who are searching for a place to worship.

We desire a leader who will work collaboratively with church leadership and volunteers to clearly communicate and execute our mission, which is winning and building life long followers of Christ. We are seeking our pastor to demonstrate a strong ability to relate to people of all ages and to be fully committed to the North American Baptist Conference Statement of Beliefs.

Your pastoral gifting and experience should enable you to encourage, inspire and empower God’s people to use their gifts and talents both at Ebenezer Baptist Church and in their communities. You model and practice the healthy, self-confident, humble servant’s heart of our Lord. You are committed to be a person who motivates and trains ministry leaders and volunteers, models the application of God’s word to one’s personal life and lives an exemplary life based on clear biblical principles.

The successful candidate should have a Master of Divinity or equivalent degree from an evangelical seminary. At least five years of lead pastor experience in a multi-staff environment is desired.

Salary package will be based on experience and education and may include housing in a newly renovated three bedroom parsonage on the church property.
