Chinese Speaking Volunteers to Visit Chinese Seniors Training

Cantonese or Mandarin but need to speak English as well

Jewish Seniors Alliance is a community service for seniors from all religious and cultural backgrounds.

We are currently in need of volunteers who speak Cantonese and Mandarin , We offer a well rounded training in volunteer training with seniors. The training is offered at no cost and at the end of the training you will get a  friendly visiting.

Volunteers must live in Vancouver. The training consists of five sessions all on Zoom and the sixth session is in person on Mondays and Wednesdays. Upon completion of the training you will be matched with a Chinese senior to visit weekly as a friendly visitor.

You will receive a certificate upon completion

Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?

The volunteer training will provide Chinese speaking volunteers an opportunity to increase the knowledge of seniors issues. The program is excellent for students who want a career in medicine, nursing, social work and occupational therapy.
