Position

Seton Catholic is seeking a qualified high school Social Studies teacher for the 2026–2027 school year, beginning in August. The successful candidate will be a dynamic educator who fosters curiosity about history, civics, economics, geography, and the human experience while helping students connect course content to contemporary issues, Catholic social teaching, and responsible citizenship.

Required Skills
  • A commitment to working with high school students in a faith‑based school grounded in Christian values and the Catholic tradition
  • A passion for teaching Social Studies across multiple disciplines and grade levels (including Advanced Placement coursework)
  • Ability to design engaging lessons that develop critical thinking, discussion, research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to foster respectful dialogue and student engagement around historical and contemporary topics
  • Proficiency in integrating technology into instruction
  • Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
  • An active respect for diversity and commitment to Catholic social teaching
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
Education and Experience
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (History, Social Studies, Education, Political Science, or related field preferred)
  • Currently holding or pursuing a Washington State Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education
  • Experience teaching Advanced Placement coursework is preferred
Salary Range

$52,000 – $90,000
