Engage with future leaders in forestry as a Sessional Lecturer for WOOD 330 s role offers a unique chance to apply industrial engineering concepts in an immersive academic setting.
As a Sessional Lecturer, you will teach 3rd-year undergraduate students while focusing on operations strategy, supply chain management, and other vital topics. The position requires developing course content, grading assessments, and being available to support student inquiries outside class hours. Your expertise will greatly influence the learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging lectures across two sessions each week
• Conduct a practical two-hour lab session
• Mentor teaching assistants in their roles
• Prepare course notes, quizzes, and exams
• Track and submit final grades accurately
Requirements:
• PhD or relevant enrollment in Industrial Engineering
• Previous teaching or TA experience
• Competence in using the Canvas system
• Knowledge of wood products supply chain needed
• Availability to assist students beyond scheduled classes
