Senior School Chemistry and Science Educator

Become a valued member of Crofton House School as a full-time Chemistry and Science Educator for grades 8 to 12, specializing in interactive and student-centered learning methodologies. Your teaching perspective will reflect an understanding of how girls learn most effectively.

This continuing position requires a committed educator with qualifications and a keen interest in developing innovative educational experiences.

You'll work with in a supportive team, focusing on implementing the B.C. curriculum and nurturing relationships across the school community to enhance student learning and well-being. Continuous professional development and participation in school life are key expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver effective, inquiry-based Science education including Chemistry

• Support student growth through advisory and mentorship programs

• Collaborate with department members to enhance curriculum delivery

• Participate actively in co-curricular initiatives and school events

• Attend and contribute to professional development and planning meetings

Requirements:

• Valid B.C. Ministry of Education teaching certification

• Relevant advanced qualifications in Education, ideally with a Science focus

• Demonstrated experience in teaching Science, especially Chemistry

• Familiarity with learning styles for girls and proven educational strategies

• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach
