Position: Saplings Outdoor Program Educator Wanted
Saplings Outdoor Program is seeking an After School Care Educator to work with children aged 5-12 starting September 2026. Emphasizing outdoor learning, this part-time role requires a love for nature.

As a part-time educator, you will have the opportunity to guide children’s play-based learning experiences, ensuring their safety and engagement. You will build partnerships with families while completing necessary training and documentation for your role. This position supports ongoing professional development through workshops and training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan engaging outdoor play-based activities

• Support children's inquiry and exploration

• Supervise and engage children during activities

• Carry out risk assessments in dynamic environments

• Maintain documentation of children's learning

Requirements:

• Valid ECE, ECEA, or Responsible certification

• Experience working with school-aged kids

• Willing to complete Emergency Child Care First Aid with CPR

• Enjoy working outdoors in all seasons

• Strong grasp of child development and pedagogy
