About Us

Bridge Education is looking for qualified and passionate Science Teachers to join our academic teaching team. We are currently hiring teachers for the following subject areas:

  • Physics
  • Life Science
  • Biology

We provide high-quality tutoring and enrichment programs for middle school and high school students. Our goal is to help students improve academic performance, build strong scientific thinking skills, and prepare for school exams, AP/IB courses, and other academic assessments.

Candidates may apply for one or more subject areas based on their academic background and teaching experience.

General Responsibilities

The teacher will be responsible for supporting students in middle school and high school science courses. Main responsibilities include:

  • Teach science concepts clearly and effectively to students of different levels.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, homework, quizzes, review packages, and practice questions.
  • Help students prepare for school tests, unit exams, final exams, AP exams, IB assessments, and other academic evaluations.
  • Support students with homework, lab reports, scientific writing, diagrams, graphs, data analysis, and long-answer questions.
  • Identify students’ weaknesses and create targeted learning plans.
  • Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Create an engaging, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
Subject Areas
1. Physics Teacher

The Physics Teacher will teach middle school and high school physics-related courses, including regular school physics, AP Physics, IB Physics, and advanced enrichment topics.

Relevant topics may include:

  • Motion and kinematics
  • Forces and Newton’s laws
  • Energy and momentum
  • Electricity and magnetism
  • Waves and sound
  • Circuits
  • Modern physics
  • Physics problem-solving and calculations
Preferred background: Master’s degree or above in Physics, Engineering, Applied Physics, Education, or a related field.
2. Life Science Teacher

The Life Science Teacher will teach middle school and high school life science topics, helping students build a strong foundation in scientific understanding, reading, and analysis.

Relevant topics may include:

  • Cells and cell structure
  • Genetics and heredity
  • Evolution
  • Ecology
  • Human body systems
  • Microorganisms
  • Environmental science
  • Basic biotechnology
  • Scientific vocabulary and reading comprehension
Preferred background: Master’s degree or above in Life Sciences, Biology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science, Education, or a related field.
3. Biology Teacher

The Biology Teacher will teach high school biology and advanced biology courses, including regular Biology, AP Biology, IB Biology, and enrichment-level biology topics.

Relevant topics may include:

  • Cell biology
  • Molecular biology
  • DNA/RNA
  • Genetics
  • Evolution
  • Ecology
  • Human physiology
  • Enzymes
  • Biotechnology
  • Experimental design and data interpretation
Preferred background: Master’s degree or above in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Education, or a related field. General Requirements
  • Master’s degree or above is required.
  • Strong knowledge of middle school and/or high school science curriculum.
  • Previous teaching, tutoring, TA, or mentoring experience is preferred.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, structured, and student-friendly way.
  • Strong communication skills and a responsible teaching attitude.
  • Ability to prepare organized teaching materials independently.
  • Ability to teach in English.
  • Mandarin is an asset but not required.
  • Familiarity with BC curriculum, AP, IB, or science competition preparation is an asset.
  • Candidates who can teach more than one science subject are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate based on experience, qualifications, and teaching subjects.

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
