2024 VSB Teacher Salary Grid:
Salary range $59,394 to $106,217

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education
- Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology or School Counselling – consisting of a supervised clinical practicum/internship (Minimum 400 hours)
- Teaching experience at the elementary or secondary level is an asset
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in counselling children and consulting with school staff & parents
- Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills
- Thorough knowledge of programs & services for families in the district and community
The VSB has been given approval from the Human Rights Tribunal for a Special Program under s. 42(3) of the Human Rights Code. Under this special program, the VSB seeks to preferentially hire Aboriginal persons to a variety of teaching positions.
