Primary Teacher / Teacher Librarian (Part-time, 0.5 FTE)

Eagle Harbour Montessori School

Effective dates:
September 8, 2026 through June 30, 2027

Salary:
The annual salary for a full‑time teaching position ranges from $63,347 to $116,190. Salary will be prorated for the part‑time FTE.

• Familiarity with planning and teaching a Montessori program, or a willingness to learn.
• Proven ability to integrate curricular areas and work in a multi‑age setting.
• Proven ability and commitment to work co‑operatively and effectively with other educators in a collegial team setting.
• Willingness to work in a small school and create an environment of flexibility, risk‑taking and exploration.
• Demonstrated ability and experience to plan, teach and assess an educational program building on the goals and outcomes of Ministry curricula.
• A clear understanding of the characteristics of early childhood and the ability to develop a positive learning environment addressing the intellectual, physical and emotional needs of this age group.
• Proven ability to teach emergent literacy skills through "best practice" strategies.
• Competency in and ability to integrate technology into curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners through a broad array of teaching strategies and differentiating instruction.
• Hold a valid BC Professional Teaching Certificate.
• Proven effective communication skills with students, colleagues and parents.
• Training and/or recent successful experience as a Teacher Librarian is preferred.
