Coach, Cross‑country, Junior School (grades 3 –
7)

Part‑time, Fixed‑term

Contract:

Beginning of September 2026 – mid October 2026

Location:

Crofton House School.

• Plan and deliver weekly training sessions to students (grades 3‑7) Monday to Thursday before and after school (7:15am‑8:00am and/or 3:00pm‑5:00pm).
• Act as a supervisor for students during weekly practices and meets.
• Provide mentorship, training, and support to students.
• Support and develop students’ leadership abilities.
• Read, understand, and observe all processes and procedures outlined in the Crofton House School Athletic Coaches Handbook.
• Receive input from other coaches regarding athlete selection for competition entries.
• Maintain open communication with school administration and parents of cross‑country students.
• Keep accurate records of student attendance at meetings.
• Collaborate with the Athletic Coordinator to review progress and future plans.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.
• Uphold the CHS Identity and Commitments.
• Perform other responsibilities as required.

• 1+ year of experience coaching cross‑country or similar.
• Demonstrable awareness of the learning styles of girls and young women.
• Committed to professional practice standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
