Part-Time Indigenous Community Instructor

Transform lives at Vancouver College of Counselling Training as a part-time Indigenous Community Service Worker Instructor. Engage adult learners in both online and traditional classroom settings, focusing on Indigenous studies and community support.

Reporting to the Campus Director, your responsibilities include delivering culturally responsive instruction while fostering an inclusive learning environment. You will teach essential subjects such as case management, trauma-informed care, and advocacy, ensuring students acquire the knowledge needed for impactful careers in social services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach hybrid and online curriculum for the diploma program

• Create assessments and lesson plans to enhance learning

• Maintain accurate student records and attendance

• Evaluate and provide feedback to support student growth

• Participate in meetings and collaborate with community partners

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in fields related to Indigenous Studies

• Professional experience in community service or mental health

• Understanding of Indigenous cultures and practices

• Effective communication and mentorship skills

• Familiarity with diverse populations
