Associate Teacher, Junior School (Kindergarten - Grade
7) Full-time Fixed-term Contract 2026 - 2027

We are looking for a full-time Associate Teacher to join us on a one‑year fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extending for an additional year. This mentorship‑oriented role supports teachers early in their career who aspire to full‑time classroom teaching.

• Establish a day‑to‑day connection and sense of belonging with students and colleagues in a thriving school community
• Teach in diverse classrooms from Kindergarten to Grade 7
• Support student learning with small group and individual instruction
• Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals that embrace school values of courage, creativity, and citizenship
• Participate in a dynamic professional development network
• Enjoy leadership in co‑curricular activities

• Provide teacher‑on‑call coverage from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 7, including specialist areas such as French, Art, PE, and Music as appropriate
• Collaborate with classroom teachers by supporting curriculum planning, differentiated instruction, and assessment
• Provide personalized instruction and learning support for individual students
• Supervise students during non‑instructional time
• Participate in co‑curricular activities and clubs each term such as choir, debating, cooking, public speaking, coding, and musical theatre
• Engage in field trips, outdoor education, service projects, leadership development, and athletics

• B.C. Ministry of Education Certificate
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time‑management and organizational skills
