Position: Sessional Instructor Island University

This position seeks passionate educators with a doctoral degree in Curriculum or Education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills, alongside a commitment to enhancing student success. You will be involved in teaching essential courses like Curriculum and Instruction, and Indigenous Education, while also participating in departmental initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach courses such as EDTE 400 and EDTE 401

• Support student success through mentorship and guidance

• Participate actively in departmental committee meetings

• Contribute to curriculum development and implementation

• Engage in educational scholarship and research

Requirements:

• Doctoral degree in Curriculum or Education

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• K-12 educational settings experience

• Knowledge of Indigenous teaching principles

• Eligibility for a BC Teaching Certificate
