Middle School Language Arts Teacher - St. Joseph

Join St. Joseph Catholic School in Vancouver as a full-time Middle School Language Arts Teacher for Grades 6-8. Focus on writing, grammar, and language skills while fostering student confidence and proficiency.

In this role, you will teach writing and language arts to middle school students, implementing engaging standards-based instruction. Collaborate with the Middle School Literature Teacher to provide a cohesive English Language Arts program, while utilizing formative and summative assessments to track student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach writing and language arts to Grades 6–8 students

• Design and implement writing instruction based on standards

• Assess student writing, providing meaningful feedback

• Support student growth in grammar and communication

• Collaborate with colleagues and maintain positive relationships

Requirements:

• Washington State Teaching Credential required

• Knowledgeable in middle school writing and grammar

• Experience with various writing processes

• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners

• Committed to integrating Catholic values in education
