Head of Mathematics Curriculum at St. John's

In this three-year term, the Head of Mathematics will lead program development aligned with provincial and IB standards, ensuring effective Mathematics integration. Key interactions with the Senior School's leadership team will facilitate regular meetings to enhance curriculum delivery. This position emphasizes the need for a strong grasp of curriculum policies and an ability to mentor faculty while maintaining resources for successful teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on the Mathematics budget planning annually

• Conduct yearly inventories of departmental resources

• Lead regular curriculum area meetings and share outcomes

• Create engaging community activities each week

• Ensure communication of achievements with marketing teams
Requirements:

• Hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Complete a Bachelor's degree in Education

• Experience in MYP and/or DP Mathematics teaching preferred

• Proven leadership and communication skills required

• Ability to support diverse learning needs
