Become a vital part of student support with the Vancouver School Board as a Secondary Counsellor. This full-time role focuses on counselling and developing inclusive environments for students.
The VSB is seeking a qualified Secondary Counsellor for a full-time position.
Your role will enhance the educational experiences of students by providing targeted support, consulting with staff and parents, and offering counselling services. Candidates should possess a Master’s in Counselling Psychology along with experience in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide school counselling services to secondary students
• Collaborate with staff and families for student well-being
• Deliver evidence-informed practices for student support
• Maintain organized records of counselling sessions
• Assist in creating inclusive educational environments
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education and Master's in Counselling Psychology
• Minimum 400 hours in a supervised clinical practicum
• Teaching experience at elementary or secondary levels
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of community programs and services
