Vancouver Middle and High School Math Teacher

Stratford Hall seeks a Middle and High School Mathematics Teacher starting August 27, 2026, in Vancouver, BC. This role emphasizes student engagement and inquiry-based learning methods.

In the Senior School, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic experiences of students in Grades 7-12 through innovative mathematical instruction. Your focus on fostering safe learning spaces will connect students to real-life investigations and support their growth in mathematics, aligning with our commitment to the International Baccalaureate framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage students in mathematics with small group teaching

• Encourage inquiry and personal responsibility in learning

• Collaborate with staff on monitoring attendance and behaviour

• Contribute materials for classroom displays as needed

• Assist in organizing grade-specific events and initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience teaching mathematics

• Eligibility for BC certification before start date

• University degree with emphasis in mathematics education

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

• Computer proficiency, particularly with Google Workspace
