Join Stratford Hall in Vancouver as a Mathematics Teacher for Grades 7-12. This role focuses on fostering an engaging learning environment and nurturing student inquiry.
As part of the Senior School, you will facilitate mathematics education while honing skills in teaching, communication, and collaboration. Your expertise will support students through inquiry-based learning, aligning with International Baccalaureate ideals. The position starts August 27, 2026, and offers a 0.6 FTE commitment with the potential for 0.8 FTE.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach mathematics in classrooms with small groups and individuals
• Ensure active student engagement and empowerment
• Support open-ended inquiry and real-life investigations
• Collaborate with Learning Support Specialist for targeted growth
• Document individual student learning progress
Requirements:
• Experience in IB or inquiry-based school settings
• BC teacher certification eligibility before starting
• Degree with teaching emphasis in mathematics
• Strong communication skills in English
• Computer literate with Google Workspace experience
