The Department of Wood Science is seeking a qualified candidate to teach WOOD 282 (3 credits) focusing on wood physics and mechanics. The position requires experience in wood physics, a Ph.D. in Forestry, and running related experiments. Your responsibilities will include delivering core lectures, marking assignments, guiding lab sessions, and providing mentorship to teaching assistants.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures on wood physics and mechanics
• Lead laboratory sessions effectively
• Conduct exams and grade student submissions
• Mentor teaching assistants during the course
• Maintain regular office hours for student support
Requirements:
• Ph.D. in Forestry with a focus on wood physics
• Solid background in wood physics
• Experience running related experiments
• Undergraduate degree in Wood Science
• Strong communication and organizational skills
