Empower visible minority women who have survived violence as a Career Advisor with YWCA in Metro Vancouver. Provide in-person and virtual support to guide employment readiness and healing.
As the Career Advisor focused on cohort programs, you will join the Survivors of Violence Hub to support participants in overcoming trauma and enhancing employability.
Your role will incorporate developing cohort curricula, facilitating workshops, and ensuring a safe learning environment. This position requires strong skills in delivering trauma-informed services and working with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate cohort-based employment programs
• Develop and adapt curriculum and materials for workshops
• Gather participant feedback for program improvements
• Provide individualized support including job search coaching
• Monitor participant progress and adjust supports needed
Requirements:
• 1-2 years experience in Career Advising/Employment Counselling
• Expertise in delivering cohort programming
• Strong understanding of issues faced by survivors of violence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom
• Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
