Instructors; Summer Break

Overview

Little Kitchen Academy Vancouver Fraser is seeking Summer Break Instructors who are kind, enthusiastic, passionate about nutrition, love working with children, and comfortable in the kitchen. Morning, afternoon, and evening positions are available. Applicants must be available to work weekends.

We are hiring 1-2 instructors for our Summer Break Camps running from June 29 to September
4. Candidates must be available for the majority of the Summer Break and begin training as early as June.

• Teach life skills and food literacy while preparing recipes for students ages 3–18.
• Provide support to students and lead instructors during class.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning the environment, washing dishes, receiving and storing supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized space.

• Experience with working with children is required.
• Cooking or kitchen experience is required.
• Must be comfortable working on your feet for four hours or more and capable of heavy lifting.
• Must be available to work during Spring Break (March 14–30) and may continue part‑time during Summer Break camps.
• Must obtain or already possess current Food Safe food‑handling certification, criminal record check, and First Aid/CPR/AED training.

Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Job types:
Full‑time, Part‑time, Casual, Seasonal. Contract length: 2 months. Benefits include casual dress, discounted or free food, flexible schedule, and in‑office parking.

• Secondary school diploma (preferred).
• Kitchen/BOH experience: 1 year (preferred).
• Experience working with children: 1 year (required).

Work is in person in Vancouver Fraser.
