Position: East One-to-One Inclusive Education Instructor (Part-time or Full-time) - Sept Start

Succeed. is a growing, innovative, research‑based, educational nonprofit charity serving children, youth and adults with diagnosed or suspected learning differences such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and ASD. Our affordable programs operate throughout Canada live online, from our Learning Centres in East Vancouver and North Vancouver, in‑school locations, and via our electric‑vehicle mobile classroom, Access.

Purpose of Position

Instructors work one‑to‑one with school‑aged learners (Kindergarten through grade 12), delivering individualized, comprehensive learning support that is neuroaffirming, strengths‑based, and evidence‑based.

Principal

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Deliver one‑to‑one instruction at the East Vancouver Learning Centre, both in‑person and live online.
  • Create and maintain a neuroaffirming, strengths‑based, enjoyable learning environment.
  • Identify learner strengths and challenges through informal and formal assessment.
  • Draw from multiple resources and curricula; develop and implement year‑long and daily lesson plans that are individualized, technology‑enhanced, and linked to measurable learning goals.
  • Provide formal and informal written progress reports, with or without assistive technology.
Requirements & Competencies
  • Experience working with school‑aged children with diagnosed or suspected learning differences.
  • Experience in strengths‑based, neuroaffirming learning environments and/or the ability to quickly adapt to such environments.
  • Experience using structured, systematic, and explicit instructional approaches.
  • Experience teaching literacy concepts via a structured literacy / Science of Reading approach, math focused on building conceptual understanding, and support for executive functioning, sensory processing, or social‑emotional learning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with or without assistive technology.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to our charitable mission.
  • Self‑motivated and self‑directed.
  • Ability to provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
Job Types and Hours of Work Part‑Time Contract

Contract instructors work 6–20 hours per week, including paid prep time of up to 20 minutes per session. Contractors set weekly days and times and must maintain consistent availability from September 2026 to June 2027. After‑hours are flexible: any weekday 3:30 pm–7:30 pm and Saturdays 9 am–5 pm.

Full‑Time Salaried

Full‑time salaried instructors work 37.5 hours per week across 5 days, without a fixed end date. Hours may vary during July and August.

  • Monday to Friday, 11:30 am–7:30 pm.
  • Tuesday to Friday, 11:30 am–7:30 pm and Saturday, 9 am–5 pm.

East Vancouver Learning Centre – 3292 East Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5M 1Z8.

Reporting Structure

Instructors report to the Senior Manager, Instruction and Innovation, and work closely with their assigned Case Manager(s) during the academic term.

Remuneration and Benefits
  • Wage: $28–$33 per hour for contract instructors; $55,000–$62,000 salary for salaried instructors.
  • Financial assistance for relocation is available.
  • $1,000 contribution to RRSP or equivalent (prorated for fewer weekly hours) for 2026.
