Join Squamish Nation as a Curriculum Developer–Writer focusing on Indigenous language and cultural education. Your expertise will strengthen community identity through engaging curriculum materials.
In this vital role, you will work within the Language and Cultural Affairs team to create high-quality curriculum and learning resources. By collaborating with Elders and subject matter experts, you will ensure the curriculum aligns with educational and cultural priorities, supporting language revitalization efforts.
Responsibilities- Write and adapt curriculum for immersion programs
- Conduct team-oriented research across departments
- Identify and assess curriculum needs and gaps
- Assist with policy development for language programming
- Support program delivery and occasional teaching
- Bachelor’s Degree in Curriculum Development or Education
- 5–6 years of relevant writing and teaching experience
- Strong understanding of language instruction
- Ability to foster strong community relationships
- Proficiency in Squamish language preferred
