Overview
The School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track Lecturer position at the rank of Lecturer, with a one‑year leave replacement appointment. The role is expected to begin on September 1, 2026 and does not entail any possibility of extension.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver courses; lead core and clinical sessions for the Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner (MN‑NP) program.
- Provide clinical instruction and laboratory teaching.
- Supervise students in the MN‑NP program.
- Participate in curriculum development and implementation.
- Engage in service activities for the School, the University, and the nursing profession.
- Current, credentialed Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing.
- Regulated NP registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Experience teaching nurse practitioner students in an academic setting or providing direct clinical supervision in primary care practice.
- Experience in classroom teaching, group learning facilitation, and skills laboratory instruction is desirable.
- Ability to teach core and clinical courses at the graduate level.
The expected salary range is $125,000 to $140,000 per year, commensurate with educational preparation and experience.
