** Job Description Summary
** The Student Services Manager provides strategic leadership for the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Geography. The Department offers a broad suite of programs spanning the Faculties of Arts and Science, including the BSc Major in Geographical Sciences, BA Major in Human Geography, BA Major in Environment and Sustainability, BA Major in Urban Studies, Minor in Human Geography, Minor in Environment and Sustainability, Minor in Urban Studies, Minor Geographical Info Science and Geographic Computation (GIS&GC), Certificate in Climate Studies and Action, and MA, MSc, and PhD degrees.

The role supports a large and complex student population, including over 500 undergraduate majors, 200 minors, 80 certificate students, and approximately 5,700 undergraduate course enrolments across 75 sections. The graduate program comprises roughly 100 master’s and doctoral students.

This position leads key student services functions such as program planning, admissions evaluation, outreach and recruitment initiatives, and academic advising that fosters student success, retention, and career development. The Manager acts as a central liaison with internal and external partners to ensure coordinated service  addition, the role oversees staff supervision, teaching assistant appointments, student awards, budgets, and departmental events, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with institutional priorities and policies.

** Reports to the Administrator. The incumbent works independently, with initiative and considerable autonomy. Takes direction from the Head and Associate Heads.
