MACC Teacher Grades 5-7

Position: MACC Teacher for Grades 5-7
Empower gifted students at Kerrisdale Elementary School as a full-time Multi-Age Cluster Class Teacher for Grades 5-7. Engage learners with a dynamic and interdisciplinary curriculum focused on critical and creative thinking.

This full-time role supports gifted students under the district’s MACC program. Collaborate with various educational professionals to create individualized education plans and ensure effective, differentiated teaching practices. You will shape students’ interests and goals while fostering a nurturing environment for excellence and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement interdisciplinary curriculum focusing on critical and creative thinking

• Collaborate with district staff and parents for student development

• Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

• Utilize project-based learning and autonomy in student activities

• Facilitate personal goal-setting in learners

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education degree completed

• Experience working with gifted learners

• Skills in creating Individualized Education Plans

• BC Teaching Certificate required

• Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service
